Symbiosys requires access to a new Pinterest Ads account to support a Pinterest Ads integration. The ad account will be linked to the Symbiosys Business account.
Additionally, you may choose to provide Symbiosys with read-only access to your core Pinterest ad account to unlock additional features like the Brand Opportunities Report.
Instructions
Log In to Pinterest Business account.
Create a New Pinterest Ads Account:
On the left tab, go to Assets > Ad Accounts.
Click Add account > Create new ad account.
Name it “{RETAILER} - Symbiosys“.
Select the country where your business is headquartered.
[Optional] Assign members of your team to the ad account.
Partner with Symbiosys Business:
OPTION A: Symbiosys Requests Partner Access
Provide your Symbiosys Sales Engineer with your Business ID for Symbiosys to request partner access to your business.
OPTION B: Grant Partner Access
Click your Profile dropdown menu and hover over your Business account and click the briefcase icon to go to your business account settings.
On the left panel, click the Partners tab.
Click Add Partner.
Enter the Symbiosys Business ID:
985725574599280865.Select “Invite this partner…” > Add partner.
In step 2, select the newly created “{RETAILER} - Symbiosys“ ad account and, optionally, any core accounts you’d like to share.
Grant account permissions.
Ad account admin OR [Analyst, Audience, Campaign, Catalogs].
Specify which Catalog Data Source to Target.
During campaign creation, Pinterest requires that you specify which Data Source to target as the “product group“. If your Catalog contains multiple Data Sources, tell your Symbiosys Sales Engineer which Data Source should be targeted.
[Optional] Share UTM Parameters with Symbiosys:
If you expect specific UTM parameters on your ad URLs for reporting purposes, share these with your Symbiosys Sales Engineer.
